AVATR has been selected as one of the 16 "Game Changers" of the COVID-X EU-funded project (https://www.covid-x.eu/game-changers/). In collaboration with the University of Catanzaro (as clinical partner), AVATR will develop the MADCAP (Management and Assessment of coviD for Chronic diseAse Patients) project. MADCAP targets cardiovascular disease patients diagnosed with COVID-19 aiming to support their remote care. The scalable solution gives remote support for COVID-19 risk management for prevention of infection, for managing remote treatments and for dealing with infection and post-infection cases. Gathering clinical and contextual patient data, it will support doctors to improve the care process.

As part of our medical study in Brazil, AVATR has been deployed at São Paulo University Hospital InCor, for patients suffering from Hypertension. In the context of COVID this will reduce the burden on the medical team, who will be monitoring of the patients remotely. It will also allow them to update their patient care plan and protocols without bringing them to the hospital, reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19.
Our first randomised medial trial is starting in the UK, focusing on patients suffering from obesity and atrial fibrillation. The patient onboarding phase has started. The study aims to demonstrate that the patient engagement provided through AVATR will help reduce health risks and improve the quality of life, freeing up time and resources for the medical teams.
AVATR was awarded the prestigious European Commission Seal of Excellence, based on the quality of the technology. With this accreditation, Inavya is well-positioned to receive fresh opportunities for AVATR. In fact, and despite challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have continued development with direct engagement of clinical teams globally.
